The Fridayhikers are a group of friends who go hiking for leisure. Depending on the weather and road conditions, the hiking route may be subject to change without prior notice. Participants joining the hikes do so at their own will and at their own risk. They may consider buying their own insurance for better protection. The hike leaders, the organizers and any other participants in the hikes are exonerated from any liabilities and claims as a result of any accidents or losses arising.

Wong Tai Sin- Shatin Pass- Kowloon Reservoir

Weather Forecast: cloudy with showers & squally thunderstorms, showers will be heavy at times; 25-28 degrees; 80-95% humidity, south-west force 4 to 5, occasionally force 6 offshore

Hiking Date: 24 July 2015, Friday   

Meeing Place: Wong Tai Sin MTR, exit A,

Meeting Time: 9am

Hiking Route: We will take Mini Bus No.18 to Bus Terminal at Tsz Wan Shan Road. From an ascending path, we go to Shatin Pass to walk along a paved and rather level trail, about 8 km, perhaps taking 3 hours to reach Tai Po Road near the Kowloon Reservoir.


Reminder: Please bring rain and wind gears, plenty of water and some snack. If thunderstorm or heavy rainstorm warnimg is hoisted by 7:30am, or less than 4 fridayhikers have enrolled, the hike is cancelled.
