Tsing Yi Natural Trail

Tsing Yi Nature Trail is a pleasant and shady hiking route about 4 km, less than 3 hours walk.

Meeting Time:   9:15 a.m.

Meeting Place:    Tsing Yi MTR, Exit A  (will take bus 248M to Cheung Wang Village near the trail starting point  or  walk up trail at 擔杆山路)

Weather forecast:  mainly fine apart from some haze, dry during the day,  T25-32  H45-75

Please bring plenty of water, sun gear, rain gear, walking stick, mosquito  repellent,   snacks etc.

Please check the weather before you leave home tomorrow.  If the typhoon, rainstorm or thunderstorm warning is up by 8:00am, the hike is automatically cancelled.

塔門

ferry departs 8;30 am from馬料水碼頭, nice scenery for the ~1.5hr boat trip in 吐露港、ferry stopping at 深涌 and荔枝莊;  there are hiking trails on the island passing villagers, temples, lookout points, rock formations, camp sites, beaches etc.; 士多lunch is available on the island; will take 1;45 pm ferry back to 黄石碼頭 (~35 minutes)。

Meeting Time:  before 8:25 a.m. (to catch the 8:30 am scheduled ferry)

Meeting Place:   馬料水碼頭  

(大學站 步行去碼頭 ~20+min:; 272K 巴士一站在    水上活動中心落    步行出碼頭)

Weather forecast:  mainly fine and hot apart from some haze,  T27-32  H65-90

南生圍一圈遊

(about 7 km 3 hrs)

Meeting Time:  9:30 a.m.

Meeting Place:  Yuen Long MTR Station Exit G

Weather forecast:  very hot with sunny periods and one or two showers,  T 27-33  H 65-90

Please bring plenty of water, sun gear, rain gear, walking stick, mosquito repellent, snacks etc.

Please check the weather before you leave home tomorrow.  If the typhoon, rainstorm or thunderstorm warning is up by 8:00am, the hike is automatically cancelled.

Friday 7 September 2018, Repulse Bay to Tai Tam Reservoir Dam

The Fridayhikers are a group of friends who go hiking for leisure. Depending on the weather and road conditions, the hiking route may be subject to change without prior notice. The hike leaders, the organizers and any other participants in the hikes are exonerated from any liabilities and claims as a result of any accidents or losses arising.

Repulse Bay (via South Bay Close to start of trail) to Tai Tam Reservoir Dam stone bridge

We will start from Repulse Bay bus stop (舊淺水灣酒店前), walk to and up South Bay Close to the start of the trail to Tai Tam Intermediate Reservoir and then to Tai Tam Reservoir. If weather is fine, can proceed to the north end of the stone bridge at the base of Tai Tam Reservoir, walk across to the south end, then come up to Tai Tam Road to take bus to Shau Kei Wan for lunch.  This route is about 7.5 km.

Meeting Time:  9 a.m.

Meeting Place:  bus stop舊淺水灣酒店前

Weather forecast:  sunny intervals and a few showers, relatively low visibility, thunder-storms later,  T 27-31  H 75-95

Please bring plenty of water, sun gear, rain gear, walking stick, mosquito repellent, snacks etc.
