Friday 29 June 2018: Lung Mun Country Trail

The Fridayhikers are a group of friends who go hiking for leisure. Depending on the weather and road conditions, the hiking route may be subject to change without prior notice. Participants joining the hikes do so at their own will and at their own risk. They may consider buying their own insurance for better protection. The hike leaders, the organizers and any other participants in the hikes are exonerated from any liabilities and claims as a result of any accidents or losses arising.

Dear Fridayhikers

The Lung Mun Country Trail goes from Chuen Lung (川龍)   to Shing Mun Reservoir Pineapple Dam.  It is  about 8 km. 

We will start from the Pineapple Dam, walk up to the Lung Mun Country Trail.  Keep going west and at the end of the trail we should reach Chuen Lung village and come out to 荃錦公路. There we can either take the minibus or KMB 51 back to Tsuen Wan. 

Hopefully we will meet the LaiChee group for lunch.

Meeting time:  9:00 am

Meeting place:  MTR Tsuen Wan Station Exit B (we will then walk to the minibus stop)

Weather forecast:  hot and sunny, with isolated showers,  T 28-33  H 65-90

Please bring enough water, sun gear, rain gear, walking stick, mosquito repellent, snacks etc.

Please check the weather before you leave home tomorrow.  If the rainstorm warning or thunderstorm warning is up by 8 am, the hike is automatically cancelled.
