The Fridayhikers are a group of friends who go hiking for leisure. Depending on the weather and road conditions, the hiking route may be subject to change without prior notice. Participants joining the hikes do so at their own will and at their own risk. They may consider buying their own insurance for better protection. The hike leaders, the organizers and any other participants in the hikes are exonerated from any liabilities and claims as a result of any accidents or losses arising.
Please take note that meeting time will be "10 am" and meeting place will be "Entrance of Wetland Park"
Please note the instructions of SS's response below to find your way to Wetland Park from West Rail. If you are taking Light Rail, please remember to hit your Octopus card twice. Once before entering the train and once after getting off the train.

As last week's hike was cancelled due to thunderstorm, we will try our luck again this week. I copy here what was posted last week.
Hiking Route: Wetland Park, to explore wildlife No.1 to 16, about 3 hours' walk.
Meeting Time: 9 am
Meeting Place: Tin Shui Wai, West Rail, Exit E1.
Weather forecast: Sunny periods. Foggy with a few rain patches in the morning. Temperature will reach 27 degrees.
If thunderstorm warning is effective at or after 7:31 am, the walk is automatically cancelled.
Please bring water, sunscreen, rain gear.

Thanks Belinda. Tomorrow I will join the wetland hike hoping that the weather will be better than that on 31.3.2017. I will go directly to the indoor entrance at 10 am. Will you be at Exit E1 of Tin Shui Wai West Rail to meet other hikers? There is a 7-11 Store at Exit E1, with a flight of steps nearby going down to the Light Rail platform to take 705 or 706 to get off at the Wetland Park. (a few stops from Tin shui Wai) (There are road signs leading to the Wetland Park after getting off from the Light Rail---cross the rail, walk on the footbridge above, and then walk for about 10 minutes before reaching the toilet area of Wetland Park near the ticketing office. Nearby there is a green小迷宮. At the far top, one can see part of the wetland park below. The entrance of the wetland park is about 2 minutes walk from the ticketing office.

ReplyDeleteBoth John & I will join tomorrow, if nobody choose to meet at MTR exit , we will then directly walk to the Wetland Park entrance before 10:00 am
