25th November 2016 Tsuen Kam Au to Tai Tong

The Fridayhikers are a group of friends who go hiking for leisure. Depending on the weather and road conditions, the hiking route may be subject to change without prior notice. Participants joining the hikes do so at their own will and at their own risk. They may consider buying their own insurance for better protection. The hike leaders, the organizers and any other participants in the hikes are exonerated from any liabilities and claims as a result of any accidents or losses arising.

Dear Fridayhikers,

This Friday, the route chosen is Tsuen Kam Au to Tai Tong.  The walk is paved and the gradient gentle.  It is relatively long (about 3.5  hours) but should be manageable as tomorrow should be cool.

The route starts from Tsuen Kam Au, passes 田夫仔and吉慶橋 and ends at Tai Tong.  From there, there is another half an hour's walk from Tai Tong down to Yuen Long centre.  If you are lucky you may be able to catch a taxi.

Bring plenty of water and snacks, sun gear, rain gear.

I decided on West Rail as the meeting place as that is the bus terminus and it is easier to get on the bus there.  Get off at the top of the long slope - Country Park stop.

Meeting place:   MTR West Rail (Tsuen Wan West) Exit E2 (Bus stop #51)

Meeting time:  9:10  (Bus departs at 9:20 am)  Bus runs hourly.  Please queue when you arrive.

I may not be able to go tomorrow.  The route should be familiar to you all so enjoy yourselves.  We have waited so long for cool weather.

If the heavy rainstorm signal is hoistered or if less than three hikers register for tomorrow's hike, the hike is automatically cancelled for safety reason.
