9 September 2016 - Admiralty to Wanchai

The Fridayhikers are a group of friends who go hiking for leisure. Depending on the weather and road conditions, the hiking route may be subject to change without prior notice. Participants joining the hikes do so at their own will and at their own risk. They may consider buying their own insurance for better protection. The hike leaders, the organizers and any other participants in the hikes are exonerated from any liabilities and claims as a result of any accidents or losses arising.

Dear Fridayhikers,

This Friday is a repeat walk a year ago.  We will walk up the Peak via the Central Green Trail from HK Park, up Kennedy Road, Macdonald Road, Bowen Road, Brewin Path, Chatham Path, Baker Road, Plantation Road, Galleria, Lugard Road, up Governor's Walk to Mt. Austin.   If it is too hot, we can skip Mt. Austin and walk down to Pokfulam reservoir.

Meeting time:  9 am

Meeting place:  Pacific Place (Admiralty)  At the bottom of the escalator leading to HK Park.

Please bring plenty of water, mosquito repellent, sun gear and rain gear.

DK (for SS)

PS  Thanks to Belinda's reminder that the Green Trail is slippery with moss for a cloudy and wet day, a modified route is suggested as follows:
The same starting point HK Park, Kennedy Rd,  Bowen Path, Bowen 健身徑, Wanchai 自然徑 towards Police Museum, then Middle Gap Road (paved, no moss) to see many interesting houses, then a small part of Blacks Link towards Wong Nei Chung Gap Rd with a bus stop and Stubbs Road nearby, then go to Wanchai near Wu Chung Bldg for lunch.
