April 10th: Chek Keng

The Fridayhikers are a group of friends who go hiking for leisure. Depending on the weather and road conditions, the hiking route may be subject to change without prior notice. Participants joining the hikes do so at their own will and at their own risk. They may consider buying their own insurance for better protection. The hike leaders, the organizers and any other participants in the hikes are exonerated from any liabilities and claims as a result of any accidents or losses arising.


Dear Fridayhikers,

I noted that Anson said that Lai Chi Wo is now again reopen to the public.  But as we just went to Wu Gau Teng the week before, I have decided to go to Sai Kung this week and then we can discuss the logistics of going to Wu Gau Teng.  The forecast for Friday is patches of rain so Chek Keng should be a safe route.

Meeting time:  9 am  (Village bus departs at about 9:15 so please arrive early and queue up)

Meeting place:  Outside MacDonald's in Sai Kung


Please bring enough water, sun gear, rain gear, etc. for your comfort.

I am down with flu so I will not join you this week.  Have fun,

In view of unstable weather, please check weather forecast prior to starting out.  Hikes will be cancelled when the thunderstorm warning or heavy rain warning is issued.   As before, hikes will also be cancelled when fewer than 3 have enrolled.
