Dear all,

We'll go to our favourite district, Sai Kung, this Friday.  From Sai Wan Ting (
西灣亭), we'll follow the Luk Wu Country Trail to Tsak Yu Wu (鯽魚湖).  This will take us 3 to 3.5 hours.  In case it rains when we arrive at Sai Wan Ting, we'll go to 赤徑 instead.

Meeting Time: 9:00 am

Meeting Place: #29R village bus stop outside the MacDonald's in Sai Kung.

The village bus, white in colour, takes 28 passengers and departs at 9:15 am.  Late comers please take a taxi to Sai Wan Ting, the starting point of our hike.

We'll have lunch in Sai Kung at app. 2 pm.  Please bring sufficient water, light snacks and sun/rain gear.  If the thunderstorm signal, or the amber/red/black rain signal is on at 7:30 am on Friday morning, this hike will be cancelled.

Dear Fridayhikers,

A late blog notice due to the unstable weather conditions.  Friday's forecast is for cloudy weather with some showers and suitable for hiking.  However due to the week's downpour,  muddy trails and mudslide possibility limits the choice of walking routes to take.   Shing Mun Valley walk is familiar to most of us and you can stay on the concrete road if it is too wet.

Meeting time:  9:15 am

Meeting place:  Tsuen Wan MTR Exit A

We will meet and then walk to the minibus stop (No. 82 for Pineapple Dam)  on Siu Wo Street 兆和街 .  Should you arrive late at the meeting place, please find your way to the minibus stop yourself.

Please bring rain gear, water, snacks and walking stick.

Please note that the hike will be automatically cancelled if any of the following weather warning signals is hoistered at 8 am in the morning:   thunderstorm warning, heavy rain warning (amber, red or black), mudslide warning.
