Friday 28 June 2019 : Shing Mun Reservoir

The Fridayhikers are a group of friends who go hiking for leisure. Depending on the weather and road conditions, the hiking route may be subject to change without prior notice. Participants joining the hikes do so at their own will and at their own risk. They may consider buying their own insurance for better protection. The hike leaders, the organizers and any other participants in the hikes are exonerated from any liabilities and claims as a result of any accidents or losses arising.

Shing Mun Reservoir

Will take minibus to the Pineapple Dam and start the walk around the reservoir there. Depending on weather conditions, can either take the dirt track or the paved road if it gets rainy.  Estimated time 3+ hours.

 

Meeting time:  9:00 am

Meeting place: Tsuen Wan MTR Exit B (then take minibus to Pineapple Dam)

Weather Forecast: sunny periods and a few showers, isolated thunderstorms in the morning,  T28-32  H75-95

 

Bring rain gear, sun protection, and walking stick, plenty of water and some snacks.

Should the thunderstorm warning or any of the rainstorm warning be announced at 8 am, the hike is automatically cancelled.

大水坑 茅坪古道 西貢

在大水坑站起步經富安花園步行上梅子林路(長斜)、到達梅子林、沿茅坪古道上麥徑4休息處(五聯達)、落北港古道到北港、可經村路步行到酉貢市(or take GMB)。

前後段石屎路、村徑/梯級；兩古道為石級、泥路；部份路段樹蔭；有上落坡段，高差~280m,長~6.5km(北港)+1.5Km到酉貢市 ，est ~3.5 hrs

Meeting time:  9:45 am

Meeting place:  大水坑站 Exit B

Weather Forecast: mainly fine apart from isolated showers in the morning, very hot during the day  T29-33  H70-90

Bring rain gear, sun protection, and walking stick, plenty of water and some snacks.

Friday 14 June 2019 : 大埔後山 (衛奕信徑8一小段 – 太和上山 落下碗窰)

大埔後山  (衛奕信徑~W097 to ~W090)

太和站附近過林村河，沿和蓮路(衛徑8)上山，落下碗窰、到大埔墟站。全程石屎路，沿途大埔全景、九龍坑山、吐露港景色，長~5km、高差~150m。

(如天氣不適合上山、到時大家可決定改行林村河畔到大埔海濱公園、.再回大埔墟站。長~5km、平路)

Meeting time:  9:45 am

Meeting place:  Tai Po Tai Wo MTR Station, Exit A

Weather Forecast:   mainly cloudy with showers, showers will be heavy at times with squally thunderstorms at first, showers will ease off gradually with sunny periods during the day,,  T25-32  H70-95

Bring rain gear, sun protection, and walking stick, plenty of water and some snacks.

Should the thunderstorm warning or any of the rainstorm warning be announced at 8 am, the hike is automatically cancelled.
